Police seek information after firearms stolen at Wollomombi

Police are appealing for public assistance after firearms were stolen during a break and enter in the state's northern tablelands.

Officers from New England Police District commenced an investigation yesterday (Wednesday 6 October 2021), after being notified that firearms had been stolen from a property on Waterfall Way, Wollomombi.

Initial inquiries suggest entry was forced into a storage container located on the property between 6am on Monday 9 August 2021 and 3pm on Tuesday (5 October 2021).

Three firearms – including two rifles and a shotgun – are believed to have been stolen.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the incident is underway.

As inquires continue, police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident – or who has dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area – to contact Armidale Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
