Police seek information after Kialla armed robbery

Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad have released images of two men they are looking to identify as part of their investigation into an armed robbery at the Peppermill Inn in Kialla last December.

Police have been told the two armed men entered the gaming venue on the Goulburn Valley Highway about 11.55pm on Thursday, 9 December.

The men were both masked and armed with a knife.

A number of staff members and patrons were in the venue at the time, and the majority managed to flee the area.

However the men confronted a male staff member with the knife and made a demand for cash.

He subsequently handed over a quantity of cash and the men left the premises.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

It's believed the men left the area in a blue coloured sedan and headed north from the venue.

Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad are investigating the incident and are today releasing a number of images of the two men in the hope someone can provide information about their identity.

One man is described as having a thin build, while the second had a stockier build.

At the time, they were both wearing dark coloured clothing.

Investigators are also keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the pair leave the premises or has any other information about the incidents.

Anyone with information about criminal activity is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or by submitting a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.auExternal Link
