Police seek information after lewd behaviour on St Kilda tram

Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to help them identify a man who exposed himself while travelling on a tram in St Kilda last month.

The unknown man was on board a tram along route 12 on 14 January about 6.40pm when he repositioned himself to face a victim who had just boarded the tram.

The man then proceeded to expose himself while looking at the victim.

Investigators have released a facial composite image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is perceived to be aged between 35-40 years old, has a medium build, with a patchy beard, short dark curly hair and a dishevelled appearance.

He was wearing grey track pants, a matching grey jacket and a beige basketball jersey at the time.

Anyone who recognises the man, or has information that could assist police with their enquiries, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
