Police seek information after man stabbed and robbed - Lurnea

Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed and robbed by two men in Sydney's south-west last month.

About 7.30am on Tuesday 25 February 2020, a 34-year-old man was standing next to his ute on Wheeler Avenue, Lurnea, when he was approached from behind by an unknown man.

The man demanded he hand over his wallet and a bracelet, before another man holding a knife approached and stabbed him in the chest.

The two men took a gold bracelet, necklace and a ring as well as the man's wallet. After a short struggle the injured man escaped and ran towards James Street.

The two men left the scene shortly after.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated the Lurnea man for a stab wound to the chest before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

As inquiries continue, Liverpool Detectives are seeking assistance to identify a vehicle seen in the vicinity at the time of the incident.

CCTV footage captured a white BMW, believed to be a E60 5 Series model, driving along Hill Road and Hillview Parade, Lurnea, shortly after the aggravated robbery took place.
