Police seek information after man stabbed at Nowra

Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed on the state's South Coast overnight.

About 9pm yesterday (Sunday 30 May 2021), emergency services were called to a unit on Schregel Place, Nowra, following reports a man has been stabbed.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 38-year-old man at the scene for two stab wounds under his armpit. His injuries are not life-threatening.

He was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital and has since been released.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District attended and established a crime scene.

It's believed a verbal altercation took place, before a 27-year-old man allegedly entered the unit with a knife and stabbed the older man.

Police have been told a 23-year-old woman – who was inside the unit at the time – left the premises with the 27-year-old man.

Detectives are appealing for information to help locate the younger man, who police believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

Early inquiries suggest the persons involved are known to each other.
