Police seek information after serious crash - Ingleburn

Police are appealing for information after a man was hospitalised in a serious condition following a crash in Sydney south-west last week.

About 5.30am on Friday 4 November 2022, emergency services were called to the Hume Motorway, Ingleburn, following reports of a truck and van colliding in the northbound lanes.

The driver of the van, a 29-year-old man, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital with a head injury. He remains in a serious but stable condition.

Officers attached to Campbelltown Police Area Command breath tested the truck driver, a 48-year-old man, who provided a negative result.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are underway and police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage to come forward.

In particular, investigators have released a dashcam image of a red station wagon and would like to speak the driver.
