Police seek information after woman robbed while sitting in car - Oxley Police District

Police are appealing for information after a woman was robbed while sitting in her car, 60km north of Tamworth.

About 4.45pm on Monday (8 February 2021), a 26-year-old woman stopped her car at the intersection of Fossickers Way and Split Rock Dam Road, Upper Manilla.

A green 4WD – being driven by a woman – stopped alongside her and a male passenger approached the driver.

Police were told the male opened the driver's door, demanding the woman's phone before threatening her and rummaging through her property.

He took cash before returning to the vehicle which was last seen driving towards Barrabra.

The woman was distressed but not injured.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District were notified and commenced an investigation.

They wish to speak with two people they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The male is described as being aged 15-17, of Caucasian appearance with a tanned complexion, tall with a solid build, and brown hair. When last seen he was wearing a red T-Shirt.

The woman is described as being aged 25 to 30, of Caucasian appearance, with blonde, shoulder-length hair and a nose ring.
