Police seek information after woman's bag snatched at Wee Waa

Police are appealing for information after a woman's bag was snatched as she walked home from a store in the state's North West Slopes.

About 11.20am Friday (20 September 2019), a 58-year-old woman was walking home from the CBD when she was robbed by two men and a woman at the intersection of an unnamed laneway and Church Street at Wee Waa.

Police were told the woman's purse was snatched from her grasp before she was pushed in the back and fell to the ground.

The woman turned to see the three offenders, described as being Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander in appearance, run across Church Street and down the unnamed laneway.

The bag contained bank cards and a quantity of cash.

The woman was uninjured and walked home before attending the Wee Waa Police Station to report the incident.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District canvassed the area however haven't identified those involved.
