Police seek information: Armed robbery, Inala

Acacia Ridge detectives are investigating after a 57-year-old man was assaulted during an armed robbery in Inala on Saturday (January 28).

Initial investigations indicate around 11.30am, two males have attended an address on Torea Street and knocked on a front door.

The occupant of the home came to the door and was threatened by the two men who demanded money. The occupant did not comply and was not injured.

A short time later, the two men approached a man outside on the same property.

The man was hit in the head with an unknown implement before the pair stole his car, a white Toyota Rav 4, and left the scene.

The 57-year-old Inala man sustained a non-life threatening head injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police have released a photo of the car that was stolen from the property, as well as a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV vision from the area between 11.00am and 12.00pm is urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
