Police seek information: Armed robbery, Wynnum

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a tobacconist in Wynnum that occoured on Thursday, April 20.

Just before 8pm, two men, one armed with a handgun and the other with a machete entered the Florence Street business and demanded money and tobacco products from the female attendant.

The pair then left the store through a rear door towards Edith Street with tobacco products and a sum of cash.

The first man is described as early 20's, of Pacific Islander descent, approximately 160cms tall with an athletic build. He was wearing a grey Champion hoodie, a black Nautica cap, black Adidas trackpants, white running shoes, gloves and armed with a handgun.

The second man is described as in his early 20s, Caucasian, approximately 175cm tall, with a slim build and wearing a black Asics hoodie, black tracksuit pants, running shoes, carrying a black Nike sports bag and armed with a machete in a tan sheath.

Investigators are appealing to those who may have witnessed the incident, these persons or may have CCTV of the area around the time of the incident to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
