Police seek information, missing girls at Babinda

Police are seeking public assistance to locate two girls missing from the Babinda area since yesterday (October 13).

The 11-year-old (pictured below) and 13-year-old were last seen in Eastwood Street around 7pm where it is believed they may have left the area in an unknown vehicle.

Investigations indicate the social media accounts of the girls have been active and it is possible they are travelling together in and around the Cairns area with others, including possibly four males.

Police hold concerns for the girls due to their young age and are appealing for them to make immediate contact with police.

Both girls, who are friends, are described as Caucasian, with proportionate/slim builds, with long brownish hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information of their whereabouts is asked to contact police.
