Police Seek Information On Violent Disturbance - Palumpa

Police are calling for information in relation to a violent disturbance in Palumpa early this morning.

Around 12:10am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received multiple reports of groups of people fighting with weapons at a residence in the community. Two vehicles and property were allegedly set alight during the incident, with one of the burning vehicles producing a loud noise that was heard throughout the area.

Local police attended and the group had dispersed prior to police arrival.

A 12-year-old female was treated for minor smoke inhalation. No other injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.

Wadeye police were deployed and have identified multiple persons of interest. Investigations remain ongoing.
