Police seek information over drive-by shootings at Boggabilla

Police are appealing for information as they continue to investigate drive-by shootings in the state's Far North last month.

About 3.30pm on Monday 23 November 2020, officers attached to New England Police District responded to reports of shots fired at homes and cars throughout Boggabilla.

It will be alleged that the shots were fired from a white Mitsubishi Magna.

No one was injured during the incident.

Detectives from New England Police District established Strike Force Deleware to investigate the shootings.

Police are seeking assistance from a man who they believe was in Merriwa Street at the time of the shooting and may be able to assist with inquires. He is described as being Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged about 20, 180cm tall, with a medium build, black hair and beard, and brown eyes.

As inquiries continue, anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam vision from the area and its surrounds about the time described, is urged to contact Boggabilla Police or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
