Police have released images of a man they believe could assist with investigations into a robbery in Sadliers Crossing on December 30, 2024.
Initial investigations indicate around 8.45pm, the victim, a 17-year-old boy, was seated alone in the front carriage of a train travelling to Rosewood.
As the train approached Thomas Street station, the male offender approached the victim, threatening the boy before assaulting him.
The man then stole a silver chain necklace from the boy, before leaving the train on foot at Thomas Street Station towards Brisbane Road, West Ipswich.
The man is described as having a slim build with a moustache, and was wearing long blue pants, a black jacket, and a cream/white coloured cap.
Police are appealing to the man in the images, or anyone who may have witnessed the incident or recognise the man, to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
