Police seek information to find missing man - Lakemba

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's west.

Luis Torres, aged 78, was last seen about 8:30am yesterday (Friday 22 January 2021), when he left an address on Punchbowl Road, Lakemba. He has not been seen or heard from since.

He was reported missing to officers from Campsie Police Area Command, who have commenced inquiries into his whereabouts. Some of those inquiries have indicated he was in the Burwood area about 7:30pm yesterday (Friday 22 January 2021).

Police and family have serious concerns for his welfare due to a number of medical conditions including dementia.

Luis is described as being of South American appearance, medium build, between 165cm and 170cm tall, with short grey hair.

He was last seen wearing a white/light blue coloured long sleeve shirt and grey track pants.

Anyone who may have seen Luis or has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.
