Police Seek Leads in Wollongong Break-In Spree

Police are appealing for information following a number of break and enters at businesses across the Illawarra.

In March 2026, officers attached to Wollongong Police District commenced an investigation, after a number of break and enters in businesses.

Between Friday 13 March and Friday 20 March, eight business including cafes and restaurants were broken into, in the suburbs of Corrimal, Bulli, Fairy Meadow, Gwynneville and Wollongong.

A number of items were stolen including cash and passports.

Police believe the break and enters are linked.

Police have released CCTV images of two men who were seen in the vicinity of the businesses at the time of the offences, who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The first male is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his mid 20s, 165 cm tall, thin build, wearing dark hooded jumper, pants and white joggers.

The second male is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his mid 20s, 170 cm tall, thin build, wearing hooded jumper with motif 'product of the streets' on the back, pants and white joggers.
