Police Seek Missing Elderly Woman in North Turramurra

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from the state's northern suburbs.

Fay Smitheran, aged 90, was last seen on Bobbin Head Road, North Turramurra, about 6.05pm today (Wednesday 28 January 2026).

Unable to be located or contacted since, officers attached to Ku-ring-gai Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Fay's welfare as she lives with dementia.

Fay is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 155cm tall, with short grey hair.

She was last seen wearing a navy blue cardigan and a white undershirt. She also may be carrying a purple helmet.

Anyone who sees Fay is urged to contact Hornsby Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
