Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a missing elderly woman believed to be on the state's south coast.
Leena Laakso, aged 85, was last seen at a supermarket on Kinghorne Street, Nowra, about 7pm today (Tuesday 25 November 2025).
When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.
Family and police hold concerns for her welfare as she lives with dementia and requires regular medical treatment.
Leena is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 160cm – 165cm tall, of thin build, with short grey hair.
She was last seen wearing blue leggings and carrying a paper Woolworths bag.
Leena is known to frequent the Double Bay and Edgecliff areas; however, police believe she is still in the Nowra area.
