Police Seek Missing Wollongong Teen 15 November

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage girl from the state's south.

Sophia Lyons, aged 12, was last seen on Gipps Street, Wollongong, about 4.30pm on Thursday (13 November 2025).

When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Wollongong Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Family and police hold concerns for her welfare due to her age.

Sophia is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 160cm tall, of medium build, with long red hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt and grey tracksuit pants.

Sophia is known to frequent the Wollongong and Lake Illawarra areas.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact Wollongong Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
