Police seek public assistance after man head-butted in Safety Beach

Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was assaulted in Safety Beach last month.

Investigators were told an unidentified man approached an on-duty security guard and verbally abused him before pushing and head-butting him outside the front of a marina on Marine Drive about 10.15pm.

The victim, a 19-year-old Lyndhurst man, sustained minor injuries during the incident.

Police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is described as 185cm tall, messy brown hair, aged between 30 and 40 years-of-age wearing a green jacket, black track pants, black pull-on boots and was carrying a fishing rod.
