Police seek public assistance concerning suspicious man in Albury

Police are appealing for information following two reported incidents of a suspicious man loitering near public parks in Albury earlier this week, NSW Police say.

The first incident occurred about 7.30pm on Wednesday 7 June 2017, when a 14-year-old girl was walking past J.C. King Park on David Street.

She noticed a man standing at the gate to the park performing a lewd act.

The young girl ran home and reported the incident to her mother who contacted police.

The second incident occurred at the Oddies Creek Playground about 5.30pm yesterday, when a 25-year-old woman was approached by a man performing a lewd act as she got into her vehicle.

She quickly drove from the area and reported the matter to police.

The woman described the man as being Caucasian in appearance with short brown hair and wearing a dark hooded jumper with track pants.

Officers at Albury Local Area Command have commenced an investigation and would like to speak with anyone who may have information to contact them.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
