Police Seek Tips: Serious Crash in Gympie

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious traffic crash at Gympie this afternoon, 7 September.

Initial investigations indicate around 4pm, a grey Toyota Landcruiser a white Mitsubishi ASX collided at the intersection of Old Bruce Highway and Oak Street.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 67-year-old man, was transported to Gympie Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Toyota, a 32-year-old man, was transported to Gympie Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of the incident and are urging anyone relevant information or dashcam/CCTV footage to come forward.
