Police seek witnesses after affray in Shepparton

Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following an affray in Shepparton over the weekend.

Police have been told two men were on Fryers Street talking to a group of males and females about 3.15am on Sunday 29 January.

It is believed a verbal altercation occurred and escalated to a fight where both male victims were punched to the face.

A 19-year-old Shepparton man was taken to hospital where he remains with serious facial injuries.

A 24-year-old Kialla man was also taken to hospital with facial injuries and has since been discharged.

No arrests have been made and detectives are keen to speak to any witnesses.
