Police seek witnesses to Elizabeth South fatal crash, SA

Major Crash Investigators are seeking witnesses to a fatal crash that occurred at about 10pm on Wednesday 20 October 2016. The crash occurred on Philip Highway, Elizabeth South at the intersection of Blake Road when a maroon Holden Commodore sedan collided with a white Ford Laser sedan, according to SA Police.

A 74-year-old Elizabeth South woman, who was the only occupant of the Ford sedan, was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital but sadly died of her injuries.

A short time prior to the collision, the maroon Holden was involved in a short pursuit with police on Commercial Road, Salisbury.

That pursuit was terminated a short time later on that same road. The Holden is believed to have then travelled along Philip Highway at speed before turning into nearby side streets for a short time before returning to Philip Highway immediately prior to the collision.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the Holden prior to the crash or has witnessed the crash itself.
