Moreland Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding damage caused at the Fawkner Cemetery, earlier this month.
Investigators have been told unknown offenders damaged up to 80 cemetery plots between Friday 5 November and Saturday 6 November.
Investigators do not believe the damage is prejudice motivated, targeted or religious based.
