Police seek witnesses to Kingsbury hit-run

Detectives from Darebin Crime Investigation Unit have charged a man following an alleged hit-run in Kingsbury on 31 March.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man at a Heildelberg West address on 5 April.

He has since been charged with dangerous driving causing serious injury and remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 26 June.

The charges come after a 27-year-old Kingsbury woman, who was participating in a charity fun run, was struck by an allegedly stolen Toyota on Chenies Road in Kingsbury about 4.30pm.

The victim remains in hospital with serious injuries.

Detectives would still like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam footage.
