Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted at a motorcycle event in Knowsley near Heathcote on Saturday.
Investigators believe a 57-year-old man was assaulted and kicked to the head a number of times at a raceway on Knowsley-Barnadown Road about 12.45pm.
The victim self-presented to hospital for treatment to what is believed to be serious injuries.
At this stage, police believe it was a targeted attack and it appears parties are known to each other.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
