Police are investigating an armed robbery in Sunshine last month during which a man was stabbed multiple times, Victoria Police say.
Investigators have been told the victim was seated in the driver’s seat of his vehicle on Hampshire Road near the intersection of Dickson Street just before midday on Monday 17 July.
Two men and a woman approached the Mitsubishi SUV before one of the men stole his mobile phone and the woman stabbed him in the arm.
Police have been told the victim got out of his car to retrieve his phone before he was again stabbed several more times to the upper body by the female offender.
The trio decamped and the victim contacted emergency services.
The 42-year-old was later required to undergo emergency surgery for his injuries and was released from hospital three days later.
