Police seek witnesses to Windsor crash

Prahran Highway Patrol officers continue to investigate a crash where a motorcyclist was seriously injured in Windsor on Saturday morning.

The incident happened on Queens Way about 12.20am.

Investigators have been told the rider was performing a wheelie when he lost control, crashed and skidded along the road.

The rider, a Dandenong North man aged in his 20s, sustained serious injuries when his head struck the roadway.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

A dark coloured four-wheel drive or Mercedes did stop at the scene but left before police arrival.

Investigators are keen to speak to the driver of that vehicle.
