Police seeking witnesses to Midway Point crash

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed a crash at Midway Point earlier today.

Around 11.45am police responded to a single vehicle crash at the intersection of Penna and Reynolds Roads.

The sole occupant and driver of the vehicle, a man in his 40's, appeared to have struck a parked truck after losing control of his vehicle.

A detailed examination of the circumstances surrounding the crash were undertaken and it appears, at this stage, that the man suffered a medical condition prior to the crash.

The man was transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital in a serious but stable condition. No other person was involved in the accident.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to phone Sorell Police Station on 6173 2985.
