Police seize $400,000 worth of cannabis during traffic intercept at , QLD

Police have seized $400,000 worth of cannabis and charged a 31-year-old man during a traffic intercept overnight, Queensland Police say.

Police observed a man using a mobile phone while driving and intercepted the vehicle at Underwood last night. During a search of the vehicle, police located 100 pounds of dried cannabis in vacuum sealed bags and $5100 in $100 notes.

Detectives from Acacia Ridge CIB charged the driver of the vehicle, a 31-year-old man who was then referred to Australian Border Force as an unlawful non-citizen.

The man was charged with one count of possess dangerous drug and one count of possess property acquired for committing a drug offence. He will appear in the Richlands Magistrates Court this morning.
