Police seize drugs and firearms following search warrant in Liverpool

A man will face court today after being charged with drug and firearm offences following the execution of a search warrant in Greater Western Sydney, NSW Police say.

About 9am on Thursday today, detectives attached to Liverpool Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a home on Roland Avenue, Liverpool.

During the search, police will allege to have located four firearms, ammunition, prescription medications, cannabis and fraudulent documents. All items were seized and will undergo forensic examination.

A 34-year-old man was arrested and taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with four counts of possess unauthorised firearm, possess unauthorised ammunition, possess prohibited drug, possess prescribed restricted substance and goods in custody suspected of being stolen.

He was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court tomorrow.
