Police sniff out fragrance fiend in Airport West

Police are keen to catch up with a sweet-smelling thief who stole cologne and perfume from an Airport West retail store earlier this month, Victoria Police say.

It is believed a man entered a store within the Louis Street shopping centre about 3.15pm on 8 November.

While inside, he selected a Hugo Boss and Versace cologne pack, along with a women’s mini fragrance set, and placed the items into a reusable supermarket bag.

The man then left the store without paying for the items.

Police have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is perceived as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late 30s to early 40s and about 190cm tall with a medium build and short light brown hair.

The man was wearing dark pants, a grey jumper with black shoulder panels, and a grey top underneath.

Anyone who recognises the man or has information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
