Police Transport Command Operation at Nowra in South Coast Police District

A three-day high-visibility police operating targeting crime and anti-social behaviour on the public transport network will be conducted at Nowra this weekend, NSW Police say.

Operation PTC Explorer will commence on Friday (26 October 2018), and run until Sunday (28 October 2018).

The operation involves uniformed and plain clothed officers to provide service delivery outside the Sydney Metropolitan area, namely regional areas of New South Wales.

Operation PTC Explorer targets antisocial behaviour, drug offences, violent crime and property theft on the public transport network and surrounds.

It also supports local police districts in the fight against crime.

Officers from the Police Transport and Public Safety Command South/SouthWest Sector will travel to Nowra in the South Coast Police District, via the rail network, where they will patrol local transport hubs as well as providing operational support to South Coast Police during the Shoalhaven River Festival.
