Police are investigating a suspicious house fire at Smithfield Plains overnight.
Just before 1am on Wednesday 12 August, police and MFS responded to reports of a house fire in Greenwood Crescent, Smithfield Plains. Fortunately, the homeowner was awoken and escaped from the property uninjured.
Fire crews extinguished the blaze however the home was completely destroyed.
Fire techs attended to examine the scene, and the fire is being treated as suspicious.
