Police treating fire as suspicious, Lowood Police Station

A crime scene has been declared at the Lowood Police Station after several police cars and part of a carport were damaged by fire.

Officers were called to the station (unattended at the time) just after midnight and found three police cars alight at the rear of the building.

Fire crews prevented the fire from spreading to the main station structure. No police officers were physically injured in the blaze.

Investigators are reviewing station CCTV and investigations are ongoing.

Detectives are appealing for anyone her saw any person near the police station at the time of the fire, or who may have CCTV, to contact them.
