Footscray police will be holding a viewing day to allow victims of power tool thefts an opportunity to reclaim their goods following a grand discovery in Footscray last month, Victoria Police say.
The stolen tools were located when police attended a residential address on Beevers Street last Tuesday, 27 September.
Upon arrival police observed a vehicle flee the address at a fast rate of speed.
A closer inspection of the property revealed items that roused the officer’s suspicions.
A search warrant was applied for and executed. Two box trailers and a TV were seized.
Inside one of the trailers police located a large number of various power tools, all believed to have been stolen.
A list of tools as well as photographs of each item have been compiled and stored at the Footscray Police Station watch-house.
There will be a viewing and collection day at the station on Wednesday 19 October between 9am and 5pm.
