Police update 1: Appeal for information: Fatal traffic crash, Thuringowa Central

Police have charged a seventeen-year-old teenager, following the fatal traffic crash in Thuringowa Central on Saturday night.

Police will allege the 17-year-old Aitkenvale teenage girl, was a passenger of the stolen Hyundai sedan, which was involved in the fatal traffic crash, causing the death of a 22-year-old Currajong woman.

The teenage girl has been charged with five counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count of stealing.

She has been denied police bail and is expected to appear in Townsville Children's Court tomorrow (February 8).

Police continue their investigations in relation to the other occupants believed to be in the stolen Hyundai.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have information regarding this crash to contact police.
