Police update 1: Attempted murder charge at Withcott

Toowoomba detectives investigating an incident in which a 33-year-old Boronia Heights man sustained serious head injuries after allegedly being deliberately struck by a vehicle at Withcott on November 20, are appealing for witnesses, dash cam vision and a missing Holden Rodeo utility.

Detective Senior Sergeant Paul McCusker, OIC Toowoomba Criminal Investigation Branch said officers are seeking witnesses to the incident, who have not yet spoken to police, to come forward.

"We believe there may be more people out there who witnessed the incident and we'd appeal for them to contact us.

"We're also interested in any relevant CCTV or dash cam footage of the incident, or of the vehicles prior to the crash, which occurred around 3pm on Sunday, November 20."

The vehicles involved were a white 2006 Holden Tiida hatch driven by the 33-year-old man and a white 2004 Holden Rodeo Utility, allegedly driven by a 46-year-old Rockville man who has been charged with one count of attempt to murder, two counts of endangering the safety of a person in a vehicle with intent, and one count of dangerous operation of motor vehicle.

The 2004 white Holden Rodeo ute (pictured) with Queensland registration 887-RWN remains outstanding with police appealing for anyone with knowledge of its whereabouts to immediately contact them.

Police and SES will be out searching the scene, on the Toowoomba Connection Road, today (November 30).
