Police Update 1: Homicide Investigation, Bellbird Park

Police have charged a woman with murder following an investigation into the death of a woman at Bellbird Park on 19 February.

It will be alleged that around 11.30am, officers were called to Beryl Court following reports of a street disturbance.

Following further investigations, the body of a 42-year-old Springfield woman was located inside a property.

A 34-year-old Bellbird Park woman located at the scene was taken to hospital to undergo a medical assessment.

Earlier this morning, detectives from Ipswich Criminal Investigation Branch and Homicide Squad charged the 34-year-old with one count of murder domestic violence offence.

She has been taken into custody and is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court this afternoon 17 March.
