Police update 1: Police charge man over August 8 armed robbery offences at Hervey Bay

A 26-year-old Maryborough man is due to appear in the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court today on 28 charges including armed robbery and deprivation of liberty following several incidents in Kawungan, Hervey Bay on August 8.

Wide Bay detectives arrested the man on August 19 and charged him with offences including three counts each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing and evade police; as well as two counts each of threatening violence and deprivation of liberty; and one count each of armed robbery using personal violence, armed robbery using a dangerous weapon, attempted armed robbery using a dangerous weapon and possession of dangerous drugs.
