Police update 1: Robbery, Capalaba

Police have charged two people following a robbery of a Capalaba toy store on Tuesday, December 19.

It will be alleged three people entered a store on Redland Bay Road and stole a number of toys before fleeing the scene.

Yesterday morning (December 21), detectives from Cleveland Criminal Investigation Branch executed a search warrant at an Eagleby address and allegedly located the stolen toys and a quantity of drugs.

A man and woman were arrested at the scene.

A 33-year-old Eagleby woman has been charged with two counts each of stealing and possess dangerous drugs, one count each of robbery in company and receiving tainted property and three counts of possess utensil. She is due before Cleveland Magistrates Court today.

A 27-year-old Eagleby man was charged with one count each of robbery in company and possess dangerous drugs. He is due to appear before Cleveland Magistrates Court today.

The recovered toys have been donated by the business to kids in need.

Investigations are continuing to locate the third person involved.
