A man has died following a serious traffic crash at Gunalda yesterday, June 21.
About 5.30pm, police and emergency services were called to the Bruce Highway, between Hermans Road and Lindleys Lane, to reports a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.
Initial investigations indicate the black Mercedes Benz was travelling south along the Bruce Highway when it has struck an 83-year-old Curra man.
The 83-year-old was declared deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Mercedes, a 54-year-old Nirimba man, was not physically injured and is assisting police.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have relevant information or dashcam vision prior to the incident, to contact police.
