Three people have been charged, following an alleged hit and run incident involving a stolen vehicle at Runaway Bay yesterday afternoon, 27 September.
Around 4pm, it will be alleged the trio arrived at a Morala Avenue address, in a stolen grey Ford Escape when a 16-year-old boy exited the sedan and entered the property before gaining entry to a black Mercedes C200.
One of the occupants, a 54-year-old woman, attempted to stop the Mercedes from being stolen when she was struck by the vehicle.
It will be further alleged the driver, stopped the Mercedes a short distance away where a man and woman were picked up, abandoning the Ford before accelerating away.
The Mercedes was monitored by police as it travelled on the Pacific Motorway, Pimpama, where the three occupants were taken into custody near Yatala, shortly before 4.30pm.
The 54-year-old woman was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital and remains in hospital, receiving treatment.
A 24-year-old Eagleby woman has been charged with seven offences including one count each of grievous bodily harm, robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and enter dwelling and commit.
She is expected to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Monday, 29 September.
A 16-year-old Southport boy has been charged with nine offences including one count each of grievous bodily harm, robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and enter dwelling and commit.
He is expected to appear before Southport Childerns Court on Monday, 29 September.
A 18-year-old Pimpama man, has been charged with seven offences including one count each of grievous bodily harm, robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and enter dwelling and commit.
He is expected to appear before Southport Magistrates Court on Monday, 29 September.
