Police Update 2: Sudden Death, Buccan

Police are appealing to the public for dash-camera footage as part of ongoing investigations into the death of a 46-year-old woman, whose body was located at a Buccan property yesterday morning, Monday 12 January.

Detectives from the Logan District Criminal Investigation Branch and Homicide Investigation Unit are seeking footage of any vehicles travelling east along Acton Street, towards Waterford-Tamborine Road, at Buccan between 7.30pm on Saturday 10 January and 2.30pm on Sunday 11 January 2026.

Around 2pm Queensland time yesterday, New South Wales (NSW) Police arrested a 36-year-old Buccan man at Kempsey on unrelated charges.

QPS investigators have travelled to NSW today to speak with the man in relation to the 46-year-old woman's death.

Police are awaiting results of a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of the woman's death.

Investigations remain ongoing.
