Police update 2: Suspicious death, Crestmead

Detectives investigating the suspicious death of a woman at Crestmead yesterday morning have charged a man with murder.

Paramedics were called to Waratah Drive around 6.30am yesterday following reports a woman had been injured.

Upon arrival, paramedics located a 24-year-old woman deceased with significant facial injuries and notified police around 7.00am.

Police attended the scene and established a crime scene.

A 24-year-old man from Acacia Ridge has been charged with one count of murder.

He is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
