Police Update 2: Suspicious Disappearance At Mackay

Police continue to appeal for information following investigations into the suspicious disappearance of Wayne Pedro Morseau.

The 71-year-old man was first reported missing to police on 10 November last year.

Investigations commenced and led detectives to believe his disappearance was suspicious after he had not contacted or been seen by anyone in a number of weeks.

Following further investigations police believe Mr Morseu died at his Griffin Street address in September, 2025 and that the 71-year-old man's body remained in the unit for a period of time, before being moved by someone involved in his death.

Police are continuing to urge anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
