Dalby detectives have charged two 16-year-old boys with seven offences each after shots were allegedly fired from a Tara property yesterday (January 18).
They have both been charged with two counts each of discharge weapon in a public place, and one count each of dangerous conduct with a weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon - category A, B or M, as well as three counts of wilful damage.
Both boys have been denied police bail and are due to appear before Dalby Childrens Court.
Police were called to the Tara township yesterday afternoon following reports of shots having been fired around 3.30pm.
An emergency declaration was made under the Public Safety Preservation Act with police, including specialist officers, conducting investigations and searches.
Around 10.45pm police attended a Day Street residence and took four teenagers, aged 14, 15, 16 and 16 into custody without incident.
It will be alleged that three civilian vehicles were struck by projectiles. No one was physically injured.
A 14-year-old local boy was dealt under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act in respect to wilful damage and weapons offences.
A 15-year-old Tara boy was released without charge.
