Police update 3: Death investigation at Karawatha

Detectives continuing their investigations into the death of a 40-year-old woman at Karawatha last Saturday are appealing for public assistance to help identify a cyclist.

Police were called to a Wembley Drive address shortly after 3am on February 9 where the woman's body was located.

As part of the ongoing investigation detectives are reviewing all available CCTV footage and attempting to identify anyone and any vehicles captured on vision in the area.

CCTV footage taken from nearby Woodridge Railway Station shows a man wearing an orange high-vis shirt cycling on Railway Parade at 3.14am.

Police continue to appeal to motorists who were travelling along Wembley Road between 2.45am and 3.20am on Saturday, February 9 to contact them.

Investigators also continue to ask anyone who was in the area with dash-cam footage to come forward.

A crime scene remains in place at the Wembley Drive rural property with specialist police including scientific, scenes of crimes officers and personnel from the State Emergency Service conducting searches of the property all week.

Last night, between 8.30 pm and midnight, police conducted acoustic testing at the scene consisting of a number of simulated gun shots.
