Police update 4: Missing woman, Elanora - Police continue urgent public appeal

Gold Coast detectives continue to appeal for urgent public assistance to locate 61-year-old Wendy Sleeman, who went missing from her home in Elanora on Tuesday (January 24), and her blue Honda Jazz hatch with the Queensland registration 952-AT4.

The blue Honda Jazz hatch (pictured) was last seen at 5.50pm on Tuesday January 24 at the intersection of Paradise Road and Kingston Road in Logan Central (pictured). Any witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam or CCTV vision from the Logan Central area at between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday January 24 is urged to contact police immediately.

An extensive investigation is continuing across the Gold Coast, Logan and South Brisbane districts.

All available police capabilities have been utilised in search efforts today and in previous days, along with the assistance of SES personnel.

Police have searched a large geographical area and today are focusing on the Logan area, specifically between Durack and Inala.

Police are appealing for the public, many who will be out and about today on the Gold Coast, Logan and South Brisbane areas to be vigilant and look and see if they notice a blue Honda Jazz (952-AT4) in any car parks, parked near walking tracks or bush walks, local parks etc.

Anyone who sights the vehicle is advised to immediately contact 000 and not to touch or approach the vehicle.

Wendy (pictured) is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 153cm tall with a heavy build and short brown hair.

Police arrested a 30-year-old man in Durack yesterday afternoon in relation to this investigation.

He has been charged with multiple domestic violence offences and is expected to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court today (January 26).

Investigations are continuing.
